Twitter is going to start getting rid of derelict accounts. The company sent warning emails to users who haven’t been using their accounts; if they want to keep their handle, they’ll have to login by December 11 and follow the on-screen steps – including accepting the company’s latest terms and policies. Twitter told The Verge that it’s proactively reaching out to people who haven’t logged in for over six months, in accordance with its inactive account policy. Sextech startup Lora DiCarlo today announced it was accepting preorders for its innovative “Osé” product, a “blended orgasms” device that made headlines earlier this year after a controversial appearance at the Computer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The device won an innovation award in the robotics category at CES this year, but the organization responsible for the event, the Computer Technology Association (CTA), swiftly rescinded the award and banned Lora DiCarlo from exhibiting its products at the event. The idea of growing babies outside the body has inspired novels and movies for decades. Now, research groups around the world are exploring the possibility of artificial gestation. For instance, one group successfully grew a lamb in an artificial womb for four weeks. Australian researchers have also experimented with artificial gestation for lambs and sharks. And in recent weeks, researchers in The Netherlands have received €2.9m ($4.66m) to develop a prototype for gestating premature babies. So it’s important to consider some of the ethical issues this technology might bring. What is an artificial womb? Growing a baby outside the womb…

MediaTek partners with Intel, 5G laptops are coming!

A pleasant surprise! Intel has teamed up with MediaTek to create 5G modems for laptops and PCs in 2021!
Intel partners with MediaTek, 5G laptops are coming!
For 5G laptops in 2021

MediaTek x Intel

MediaTek's role is to develop and deliver the tech. Intel, on the other hand, will define the 5G solution specs. Intel will also validate the designs, provide optimization, and lend the support needed to integrate the modems into shipping computers.
MediaTek has its own 5G chips
MediaTek has its own 5G chips

The companies are also working with Fibocom to produce M.2 5G modules tailored for Intel-based systems. M.2 is the format usually used for SSDs.

Engadget reported that MediaTek and Intel are expecting to release the first laptops and PCs with 5G connectivity in 2021.

To recall, Intel has backed away from 5G in smartphones. On the other hand, MediaTek now has 5G Helio 5G modems and 5G SoCs. It simply means that this is a mutually beneficial partnership between the two chipmakers.

It should make Intel ready for the inevitable age of 5G and it should give them the capability to have an advantage over competitors such as AMD.

Intel also knows that Qualcomm, a major mobile chipmaker, is prepping its own 5G chips for laptops.

For MediaTek, the partnership gives them a major footprint in the PC world.

Realme 5 Pro receives selfie Nightscape mode in Europe

In Europe, realme has rolled out a camera update which adds the selfie Nightscape mode for the realme 5 Pro.
Realme 5 Pro receives selfie Nightscape mode in Europe
Realme 5 Pro selfie cam

Better low light selfies

To recall, in our review, while the back cameras of the realme 5 Pro are excellent for the price, the selfie cam needs improvement in the dark.

The selfie Nightscape mode should help its users take better selfie images in the dark with less noise, more details, and better colors.

Apart from the Nightscape mode, the update brings the Android security patch for November 2019, optimizations for Arena of Valor frame drops, the optimized power consumption of partial video scenes, network issues in partial areas, and full-screen notch area information prompt error.

Realme 5 Pro users in Europe should get the update via OTA soon. They can also manually download the update here.

In PH, there's no word yet when will we get the update. BUT, knowing realme, it should be on its way here as well.

Ford VP challenges Tesla’s Cybertruck, Musk says ‘bring it on’

One of the more impressive demos from Tesla‘s Cybertruck unveil was a tug-of-war contest where it pulled a Ford F150 uphill. Effective of a clip as it was, many have doubted the contest, indicating the Cybertruck was helped by its higher weight, increased friction, or some other variable. Astrophysicist Neil Degrasse Tyson even chimed in: Electric vehicles are famously heavy – over both axles. It’s all about the weight borne by spinning tires. That’s the source of traction, not the engine power. — Neil deGrasse Tyson (@neiltyson) November 25, 2019 Then earlier today, Ford VP Sunny Madra joined the fray,…

The developers revealed the news on the official Battleborn Twitter, saying that the game will become unplayable on January 2021.
