What’s new on Netflix in January 2020: Dracula, the end of BoJack, and more

best couples apps featured

Goodbye 2019, hello 2020. Netflix is ringing in the new year by releasing plenty of new content, including brand new originals and the return of several Netflix favorites like the Ranch and Bo Jackman (which is now in its final season.) Unfortunately, January is also the time to say goodbye to Friends, as all ten seasons have now left the service.

Without further ado, here’s a look at what’s coming to Netflix in January 2020, plus what’s leaving the service in the same month.

Dracula (January 4)

From the makers of Sherlock, Dracula is a new 3-episode series coming to Netflix (alongside BBC One), starring Danish actor Claes Bang as the titular character. It starts with Dracula’s origins and follows through his battles with Van Helsing and his descendants. While not directly based on the Bram Stoker book of the same name, it is obviously inspired by it but aims to take the story in new directions while highlighting just violent and cory the vampire’s crimes are.

BoJack Horseman: Season 6 Part B (January 31)

After a very successful six seasons, BoJack Horseman is finally coming to a close. The new season begins with BoJack in rehab and a potential path to redemption. But will things work out or only get worse in the long run?

Lenovo Philippines teases its first Legion gaming smartphone

To start the year with a bang, Lenovo Philippines has teased an image of an unknown smartphone with a Legion logo on Facebook.
Lenovo Philippines teases its first Legion gaming smartphone
The Legion phone?

What does that mean? A Legion gaming-focused smartphone is coming!

The Facebook post came after teasing the return of Lenovo's mobile division in the Philippines and the arrival of the Z6 family.

The Legion gaming phone render showed that it might sport an all-screen display with very slim bezels and no notch. It also showed that the device has a textured power key at the right to differentiate it easier against the volume keys and a USB-C port underneath.

Other than that, Lenovo hasn't shared much info about the phone. It is speculated to be the company's bet to compete against Xiaomi's Black Shark and ASUS's ROG gaming phone lines.

If that's the case, let's expect it to feature some sort of cooling technology, a flagship chipset from Qualcomm or MediaTek, a screen with a high refresh rate, a lot of RAM, fast UFS 3.0 storage, and big battery capacity.

Let's wait and see!

Happy New Year & What’s Next

Happy New Year to everyone. So a few have been asking if I have the BMAX S15 and the F6 Plus ordered, yes both are on the way and they will definitely be the last Gemini Lake laptops I’ll be reviewing. Some time in Q1/Q2 we should hear or see even the new Gemini Lake successor the Intel Elkhart Lake by then. Expect it to be a small bump up in performance like the Apollo Lake to Gemini Lake was, I’m not holding my breath Intel will do something drastic with the next-gen SoC. I really want now is to see the Manufactures giving us larger batteries. And hopefully more of the same good designs with improvements like more USB 3 ports, full spec Type-C and no going back to DDR4 4GB RAM only!

Yes the BMAX S15 was ordered and it’s on the way.

We always see the same 37Wh battery cells, consisting of two 5000mah cells. for 10,000mAh in total. But many times now I’ve seen there is room to have a third cell, so 15,000mAh. Then we could have over 10 hours of run time. And I’ll definitely be reviewing the new Elkhart Lake releases once out from Chuwi, Teclast, BMAX, and Alldocube perhaps.

Below is a list of what’s next in the channel in the coming weeks. In no set order:

  • Earbud review
  • Teclast F6 Plus (Due next week with DHL)
  • Roborock S5 Max robot vacuum review
  • BMAX S15 (due in about 10 days I guess)
  • eMove Cruiser eScooter, a review of the new revised model.
  • Possible 3D printer review (Creality)

Possible reviews: Xiaomi Redmibook 13 / Mi Notebook Pro 2020 edition this has been requested a few times. A lot of you have been asking for an Honor Magicbook or Redmibook 14 AMD review. Truth is the AMD Ryzen 5 3500U Magicbook I reviewed was disappointing performance-wise a good 20% less than Intel’s offering and poor driver updates etc. I’m not sure I’ll bother again until the AMD Ryzen Mobile offers something a little more in this space.

Also, I post a poll on Twitter if you wanted to see a review of the new Mediatek 1000T powered Oppo Reno 3 or the new Realme X50, both 5G phones. As I guessed not much interest in them. I’ll wait for the new big releases.

As for what’s next with the channel. More of the same, I have no big plans to change no ridiculous 2020 goals to double views and subscribers. Only to enjoy what I’m doing and hopefully, you lot also enjoy the videos and reviews.

Best power banks for fast-charging your Samsung smartphone (October 2019)

Samsung Galaxy A70 showing USB C with 25 watt charging support

Power banks for Samsung devices are more than available, but finding the best ones is a tricky feat. The main features to consider are battery capacity, portability, aesthetics, and fast charging capabilities. To save you a bit of time, we’ve compiled a list of the best available power banks for Samsung devices. Let’s dig right in!

Best portable chargers for Samsung phones:

Editor’s note: We will update this list of the best power banks for Samsung phones regularly.

1. Samsung Wireless Charger 10,000mAh

Press render of the Samsung Wireless Charger

The Samsung Wireless Charger power bank features a 10,000mAh capacity and is one of the best portable chargers for Samsung devices. What separates the Wireless Charger from Samsung’s other power banks is right in the name: Qi-compatible wireless charging.

The battery supports up to 7.5-watt wireless fast charging output to compatible Samsung smartphones. The Wireless Charger can also charge other Qi-compatible smartphones. You can even use the power bank as a normal wireless charging pad when you’re at home. In addition to a normal USB port, there’s a USB-C port for input and up to 15 watts of output.

2. Samsung Portable Battery 10,000mAh

If you don’t need fast wireless charging, Samsung also offers the Portable Battery. With the capacity set at 10,000mAh, the power bank features two regular USB ports. There’s also a USB-C port for input and up to 15 watts of output.

Those who don’t want to use the USB-C port can take advantage of regular USB ports support Adaptive Fast Charging and Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0. The $30 price also makes it one of the best power banks for Samsung phones.

3. Samsung Fast Charge 5,100mAh

Power bank for Samsung phones 5100mAh

The Fast Charge power bank for Samsung has a capacity of 5,100mAh and can provide up to 1.5 charges for the majority of smartphones — depending on the battery size. Devices will charge at up to 2A speeds, while those compatible with the company’s fast charging tech can charge up to 1.5x faster.

The power bank has an LED power indicator that shows how much juice it has left and features a USB-C port for input. Also, it comes with a Micro-USB cable and a Micro-USB to USB-C adapter. It supports pass-through charging, which means you can charge your smartphone and the power bank at the same time.

4. Samsung Fast Charge 25W Battery Pack

This is one of the fastest power banks for Samsung phones, and it can get your phone from zero to 50% in just 30 minutes. It has a 25W output and Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0, as well as a 10,200 mAh battery. All that quick charging will cost you a pretty penny, though. This unit comes with an $89.99 price tag.

5. Anker PowerCore+ 26,800mAh portable battery charger

Anker PowerCore 26800

One of the most trusted names in the world of portable batteries, Anker is offering the PowerCore Plus 26,800mAh. This is a chunky monkey — capacity is listed at 26,800mAh, with the aluminum shell ensuring the power bank can turn into a weapon at a moment’s notice.

That said, the cold, matte aluminum is nice to see and feel in a world full of plastic-clad power banks. Also nice are the four USB ports, with a USB-C port for input and output. As a nice bonus, one of the three regular USB ports supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0. That means you can charge Quick Charge 3.0-enabled devices from zero to 80 percent in 30 minutes.

6. RAVPower 20,100mAh portable charger

RAVPower portable charger 20100mAh

RAVPower is another trusted name in portable battery chargers, and this particular option features a large 20,100mAh capacity.

This is a great power bank for Samsung phones because it features three USB ports, as well as a USB-C port for input and 30W output. There are two regular USB ports, with one supporting Quick Charge 3.0. The battery itself also supports Quick Charge 3.0 for input, which allows you to charge the power bank from zero to full in 5.5 hours.

So, there you have it — these are the best power banks for Samsung devices that support fast charging. We’ll update this post with new models once they launch.
