Which is the better entry-level device on paper?

Glossy or textured finish?
Glossy or textured finish?

Build/Design - Huawei Y6s uses a polycarbonate frame that feels solid while maintaining a lightweight profile. It has no mention of any Gorilla Glass protection for the screen. It has a glasstic look at the back with a small notch upfront.

For realme C3, it has a unibody polycarbonate body with a textured back and a smooth finish for the frame. It has a Gorilla Glass 3 protection for the screen. It also has a small dewdrop notch as well. It has a pretty design choice for the back panel with sun-like rays when reflected. There's splash resistance as well.

This category is pretty close. Both devices offer good looking designs with respectable builds. But, we are gonna ink in a win for the realme C3, thanks to its use of Gorilla Glass 3 protection, splash resistance, and a more interesting design.

Display - The Huawei Y6s has a 6.09-inch 2.5D curved IPS screen with HD+ 1520 x 720 resolution. It also has a 276 ppi pixel density. There is no mention of Gorilla Glass protection. It also has a small notch for the selfie camera.

Realme C3 has a 6.5-inch 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 3 protected IPS (LTPS) screen with HD+ 1600 x 720 resolution at 269 ppi. Gorilla Glass 3+ protection is present. It also has a dewdrop notch.

Both devices sport HD+ IPS screens. We can chalk it up as a near tie with realme C3 taking a lead due to having Gorilla Glass 3 protecting it and a slightly bigger screen.

Specs - The Huawei Y6s runs a decent 2.3GHz 64-bit Helio P35 octa-core processor with a PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 3GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage, and a 3,020mAh battery with 10W fast charging.

Realme C3 has a 2.0GHz 64-bit Helio G70 octa-core processor with a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU for gaming, up to 4GB RAM, up to 64GB expandable storage and a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charger.

The realme C3 takes the lead with a more powerful CPU, bigger battery, and up to 4GB RAM. The Helio G70 is one of the best CPU at this price point for gaming and multitasking.

Our thoughts

Based on specs, realme C3 offers a more complete device at this price range.

Apart from its 8MP selfie camera, 64GB storage, and 700MHz, Huawei Y6s offers a slightly lesser package than the realme C3.
