Epson honors 100 years of Philippine Cinema

The inaugural film section of the Art Fair showcased masterful local films as a collective representation of Philippine Cinema without boundaries. The films shown were curated by film critics and historians.

The Unconfined Cinema used three Epson EB-L1505 high brightness laser projectors to show the films at The Link in Makati City from February 21 to 23.

Epson's 3LCD technology allowed for an uncompromised playback quality with clear images and vibrant colors.

The projectors used can project up to 1920 x 1200 WUXGA resolution. It also has edge-blending to create large panoramic images as well as the ability to project into curved surfaces as well as wall corners.

Watch: Wulai, Taiwan VLOG! Shot entirely using Huawei Mate 30 Pro!

To recall,  The Huawei Mate 30 Pro is a mobile camera powerhouse. It uses a 40MP f/1.6 SuperSensing w/ OIS + 40MP f/1.8 SuperSensing Cine Camera + 8MP f/2.4 3x Optical Zoom w/ OIS + 3D Depth Sensing Camera w/ PDAF and CAF + dual-tone LED flash w/ Color Temperature sensor at the back.

It can record up to 4K 60fps (Wide and Ultra-Wide), 7,680fps Slow-Mo, and up to 1800x Time-Lapse videos.

For selfies, it goes with a 32MP f/2.0 + 3D Depth Sensing Camera cam that can record 1080p selfies.

Quick thoughts

In terms of actual performance, it can take highly detailed videos, it is stabilized even on 4K, it can zoom, you can switch to ultra-wide even while shooter, there are filters and other effects, and the Slow-Mo is ridiculous.

The selfie video performed decently, but I would have liked it better if it has 4K and OIS.

Overall, I personally enjoyed its versatility in shooting videos and it is a good vlogging phone for me.

As of writing, the Mate 30 Pro is now priced at PHP 46,990 from PHP 50,990. To know more about it, read here.

Redmi K30 Pro scores 610K at AnTuTu, faster than HONOR V30 Pro

Redmi Product Manager Wang Teng has recently shared two videos of the upcoming Redmi K30 Pro running two different benchmark apps, AnTuTu and Androbench.
Redmi K30 Pro scores 610K at AnTuTu, faster than HONOR V30 Pro
HONOR V30 Pro vs Redmi K30 Pro AnTuTu

Faster than HONOR V30 Pro!

In the videos, the compared the Redmi K30 Pro with Snapdragon 865 SoC and UFS 3.1 storage against the HONOR V30 Pro, a device that uses the Kirin 990 SoC with UFS 3.0 storage.

In Androbench, it showed that there is a significant upgrade between UFS 3.0 and UFS 3.1. HONOR V30 Pro with UFS 3.0 got 1617 MB/s sequential read and 215 MB/s sequential write speeds while K30 Pro achieved a higher 1752 MB/s sequential read and 745 MB/s sequential write speeds.

This is because the Redmi K30 Pro supports TurboWrite technology as part of UFS 3.1 that improves sequential write performance. It is useful when copying large files and more.

At AnTuTu, the difference is huge. Redmi K30 Pro got a whopping score of 610K while the V30 Pro only has around 490K.

The comparison suggests that Redmi is planning to pit the K30 Pro against the V30 Pro.

In China, V30 Pro's starting price is CNY 3,899 (around PHP 28.1K).

We'll know more about the upcoming Redmi flagship on March 24.

Stay tuned!
