iPhone SE 2020?

The budget iPhone is coming!

According to the report, the new iPhone will simply be dubbed as the iPhone SE like the iPhone SE in 2016. But of course, it'll feature an improved design and better internals.

The 2020 iPhone SE is expected to come with the same iPhone 8 design in White, Black, and (PRODUCT)RED colors and a 4.7-inch display, but with no 3D Touch.

Inside, the handset is expected to feature the same A13 Bionic Chip with the third generation Neural Engine. It'll able the new SE to enjoy Apple Arcade and augmented reality features.

The new iPhone might come in 3 storage options: 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. 9to5Mac also reported that there will be 5 iPhone SE cases that will be available soon.

Reliable supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated that the device might come with a USD 399 or around PHP 20K starting price.

If true, that price point is very attractive to those who want an ultra-fast device with longer future updates for less.

It could be the iPhone to get coming from the iPhone 6 who no longer receive major software updates.

Apple's website also leaked the Belkin InvisiGlass Ultra Screen Protector for the iPhone SE, 8, and 7.

New Vivo Y19 and Y50

Y series phones with punch-hole screens

This Vivo Y19 with model number 1933 is not the same as the Vivo Y19 in PH. It is a totally new device with a pill-shaped punch-hole instead of a notch and better overall internals.
The new Y19
The new Y19

The pill-shaped punch-hole means that it has a dual-camera setup for selfies on the upper left portion of its 2400 x 1080 (20:9) resolution screen. Under the hood, you'll get a speedier 10nm Snapdragon 712 octa-core chip instead of the 11nm Snapdragon 665 SoC.

The RAM is bigger as well. From just 4GB, the new Y19 comes with 8GB. It also runs with the Android 10 operating system.

It should be similar to the previous Y19 in other aspects.

Next is the Vivo Y50 with model number 1935. It'll be a Y series phone to come with a punch-hole design for selfies. The handset will feature a 2340 x 1080 (19:5:9) resolution screen, Snapdragon 665 SoC, 6GB RAM, and Android 10 OS.

The rest of the missing information is still unknown for now.

There's no word when will Vivo make these phones official yet. Stay tuned!

Apple Music Was Second Biggest Global Music Streaming Service in 2019

Global online music streaming subscriptions were up 32 percent year-over-year in 2019, hitting 358 million subscribers, according to new estimates shared today by Counterpoint Research.

Spotify was the market leader with a 31 percent share of total revenue and a 35 percent share of total paid subscriptions, while Apple Music earned the second place slot with a 24 percent share of total revenues in the industry and a 19 percent share of the total paid subscriptions. ‌Apple Music‌'s subscription base grew an estimated 36 percent year-over-year.

Amazon Music, YouTube Music, and Tencent Music all trailed both ‌Apple Music‌ and Spotify.
"Spotify maintained its top spot with the help of promotional activities like free Spotify Premium for three months, price cuts, customized campaigns like Spotify and a focus on exclusive content. Tech giants like Amazon, Apple, Google have started focusing on music streaming and have sufficient cash at their disposal to give stiff competition to Spotify. ‌Apple Music‌ is making improvements in its app like the introduction of night mode, curated playlists to target a group, etc. Similarly, Amazon Music has been trying lossless music and is creating its own niche where it competes with Tidal."
More than 80 percent of total streaming music revenue came from paid subscriptions, while the rest came from advertisements and partnerships with brands and telcos.

Counterpoint Research believes that online streaming music subscriptions will grow more than 25 percent year-over-year to exceed 450 million subscriptions by the end of 2020.

Apple last shared specific ‌Apple Music‌ subscriber numbers in June 2019, announcing that the service had reached 60 million paid subscribers. That number is likely quite a bit higher now, but Apple has not shared new official subscriber totals in 2020.

Samsung One UI 2.1 rolling out to Galaxy S10, Note 10 series in US today

Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Back

Update, April 3 2020 (3:50AM ET): Samsung confirmed last week that it was bringing One UI 2.1 to more devices, after the update launched on the Galaxy S20 series.

Galaxy S10 and Note 10 series owners in the US won’t have to wait anymore though, as Samsung just revealed that One UI 2.1 is coming to those devices in the market from today (April 3). News of the US update comes roughly a week after Korean devices reportedly received it.

The update brings several Galaxy S20 series features to the older phones, including the Single Take mode, Night Hyperlapse, Pro Video, and custom filters. Other notable features include an improved gallery app, Quick Crop, Quick Share, and Music Share.

Have you received the update yet? Give us all the relevant details below!

Original article, March 25 2020 (4:56PM ET): When the Samsung Galaxy S20 series landed, the three phones in the line came pre-loaded with Samsung One UI 2.1. This was a new version of the Android skin that no other phones had at the time.

Now, though, Samsung One UI 2.1 is coming to other phones outside of the Galaxy S20 line. In fact, two lines of devices should start seeing the update starting today.

So far, Samsung has confirmed that all devices in the Samsung Galaxy S10 family and Samsung Galaxy Note 10 family will see Samsung One UI 2.1. It appears the update is rolling out in Korea now, but it should start landing in many other countries around the world soon.

Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy S9 series, as well as the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, should also see the upgrade to One UI 2.1 However, Samsung has yet to confirm that — it’s still just a rumor with a Samsung community moderator as the source for that information. It seems likely that those two series of devices will see the update, though, considering they already have One UI 2.0 and the upgrades of 2.1 aren’t too crazy.

Speaking of which, most of the updates within Samsung One UI 2.1 relate to the camera. Features that were emphasized heavily at the Galaxy S20 launch event are now making their way to older devices. These features include Single Take, which creates multiple forms of media from a single tap of the shutter button, as well as an improved Night Mode, the addition of Night Hyperlapse, and custom filters.
