The Globe websites hacked include mybusiness.globe.com.ph, payroll.globe-csme.com, duointernational.globe-csme.com, and update.globe-csme.com.

The hackers posted an image with "Dear Globe, your service on your internet connection is not worthy what we pay for. Do something or expect the consequence. This is just the beginning. Expect Us!" message.

It added the "all your data belong to us now!" threat.

In a statement, Yoly Crisanto, Head of Globe Corporate Communications, said that no critical customer data have been compromised as the alleged data the hackers gathered were not stored in the affected websites.

Crisanto added that those websites are used for marketing and advertising purposes only and are not connected to any of the private internal customer systems.

Currently, all four websites are still down and cannot be reached. Globe's main page, globe.com.ph is up and unaffected by the hack.

Globe assured that they are now addressing the insure to properly manage the incident.

Local telcos are often criticized for having one of the slowest internet connections at home. The latest data from Ookla revealed that the Philippines is ranked number 121/139 for Mobile and 110/174 for Fixed Broadband internet in the world.

Globe is committed to spending a record-high capital expenditures budget of PHP 63 billion this year for network upgrades.

In the next few weeks, the telco giant will launch its 5G mobile services.

5 OxygenOS tips and tricks you may have forgotten about

It may look a bit like vanilla Android, but the OnePlus skin has a quite a few extra goodies

Between Samsung’s fully loaded OneUI and the largely no-frills stock interface, OxygenOS sits right in the middle with its more judicious take on Android. OnePlus’ software skin doesn’t feel overstuffed with pointless features and manages to hit the right note — one of the reasons many of us would pick it any day over something as cluttered as MIUI. But OxygenOS still looks to be all over the place, with many of its handy tricks scattered across the Settings app, buried deep under layers of sub-sections —  keeping them out of sight.

Beware: There is a wallpaper that could potentially crash your Android phone

Leaker Ice universe posted a warning on Twitter regarding a certain wallpaper that could potentially brick your smartphone, especially Samsung phones.
Beware: There is a wallpaper that could potentially crash your Android phone
This wallpaper is the culprit

Avoid this wallpaper at all cost

So, if you receive this picture, never set it as a wallpaper. To check if the bug works on other smartphones, Bogdan Petrovan of Android Authority tried the wallpaper himself on a Google Pixel 2 and it crashed.

He said that restarting the device in safe mode by holding down the volume button during the boot-up did not fix the issue. The solution is a factory reset, but it will wipe up all your data.

He also tried it on his daily driver, the Mate 20 Pro, the unit is not affected.

Out of curiosity, we tried it ourselves on a freshly booted Find X2 Pro with no apps and files. Fortunately, our unit did not crash.

As of now, it is still not clear what's causing the issue. To be safe and sure, just avoid the above-mentioned wallpaper.

Stay safe!
