- Specifications of the forthcoming Moto G 5G have leaked.
- Evan Blass believes a Moto G 5G Plus model is also in the works.
- The Moto G 5G is expected to be the first 5G device in the mid-range series.
After a render leak revealed the phone yesterday, the Moto G 5G’s specs sheet is now out in the wild, along with a tease of a potential “Plus” device.
According to tweets by leaker Evan Blass, the Moto G 5G is in fact the previously rumored Edge Lite, so the specifications will probably seem a little familiar.
For starters, the phone will sport a “Dual Hole FHD” display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The Edge Lite was rumored to include a 6.7-inch 2,520 x 1,080 screen.

Internally, the Moto G 5G will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 chipset, giving it the same processing chops as the Moto Edge, as well as the LG Velvet. We previously thought the Moto G 5G would be powered by the newly announced Snapdragon 690, Qualcomm’s first 5G SoC for mass-market devices.
Storage and RAM figures will leave some users wanting. The Moto G 5G ‘s 64GB storage bank can be bolstered by a microSD card, but users will have to settle for 4GB of RAM.
At the rear, the Moto G 5G houses a quad camera setup headlined by a 48MP primary sensor, along with a 5MP macro sensor, an 8MP wide angle one, and a 2MP depth sensor. Based on Edge Lite leaks, the phone should also feature a 4,800mAh battery with 18W charging. Blass’ leak does not mention battery specs though.
In another tweet, Blass teases the existence of a Moto G 5G Plus, which will likely feature more attractive specs than its sibling based on the Plus designation’s history.
