Infinix Note 7 with 6GB/128GB and 48MP cam lands in PH, priced at PHP 7,990

First announced globally in April, Infinix Mobile's promising Note 7 budget smartphone has finally landed on the Philippine shores.

Infinix Note 7 is a budget phone highlighting a 3D curved back design with Gem Cut finish with subtle patterns and highlights on different angles in Aesthetic Black and Forest Green colorways.

In the front, it sports a massive 6.95-inch HD+ 20:5:9 IPS display with a left-aligned punch-hole to house the 16MP front camera.

Inside, powering the handset is the 2.0GHz 12nm MediaTek Helio G70 octa-core processor with Mali-G52 MC2 GPU, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, and 5,000mAh battery with micro USB 18W fast charging.

Given those specs, this device should be capable enough to run a few demanding games for several hours.

At the back, the handset also comes with a circular camera hump housing a quad-camera setup. It includes a 48MP f/1.79 main cam, 2MP f/2.4 w/ 2.5cm macro, 2MP f/2.4 depth, f/1.8 low light video camera, and a quad-LED flash.

There is no ultra-wide camera, but Infinix claimed that it shoots decent videos with Vidhance enhancements even in low light.

The other highlight of the device is it comes with stereo speakers with DTS audio along with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Revealed at the Galaxy Unpacked event last August 5, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 will finally arrive in China this September 9. Recently, the new foldable from the Korean giant has passed the TENAA government agency and is now certified. Unfortunately, the agency has yet to list the full specifications of the new foldable.

The Galaxy Z Fold2 or model number SM-F9160 will have dual-mode 5G and will be manufactured in Vietnam. It will feature a 60Hz 6.2-inch outer display and a 120Hz 7.6-inch inner display with a punch hole. Inside is a Snapdragon 865+ 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB of storage and a 4500mAh battery that charges through USB Type-C with 25W Adaptive fast charging.

It will come in Mystic Black and Mystic Bronze and will also have a special Thom Browne Edition.

There is no word yet on pricing nor is there information if and when it will arrive in the Philippines.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G rumored to launch this September

Rumors claim that Qualcomm will be announcing an upgraded Snapdragon 730G as the Snapdragon 732G this September.

In response to MediaTek's aggressive mid-range offerings?

MediaTek has been challenging Qualcomm's mid-range segment dominance with impressive performing SoCs with some including 5G. In response, Qualcomm has been releasing mobile processors in quick succession.

Recent rumors are suggesting that the US company maybe upgrading the Snapdragon 730G platform to the Snapdragon 732G this September. GizmoChina reports that a Twitter tipster shared that the Snapdragon 732G will be 4G only and will utilize two 2.3GHz Kyro 430 Gold and six 1.8GHz Kyro 470 Silver cores. It will debut with a smartphone priced at under USD 300 in Vietnam this September.

According to these rumors, the differences between the 730G and the 732G is the higher clock speeds and better AI processing.

GizmoChina says that the credibility of the Tweet is questionable and we suggest to take this information with a grain of salt until Qualcomm makes an official announcement.
