OPPO noted that it picked the APAC  as the company is getting stronger in the region. In terms of smartphone market share, OPPO is number 1 in Indonesia, Cambodia, and the Philippines. As of writing, OPPO has 100 million active users in the region.

To provide better support to the region, OPPO chosen Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as it is a strategic and prime location for emerging Asian markets.

The Hub Center is also designed to make its management more effective in the region, have a timely response from the HQ, provide localized solutions, and be ready for the needs of the market.

One of the first project of OPPO's APAC Hub Center is to open 6 flagship stores in the region in 2020.

OPPO also said that it will launch multiple IoT devices for home and more and be more prepared for the age of 5G connectivity.

According to GfK, out of the 180 million 5G phones that will be shipped worldwide in 2020, about 130 million is dedicated for the APAC region.

In 3 to 5 years, OPPO said that it will evolve from being a smartphone-heavy brand to a more tech-focused brand in the region.

Could the new APAC Hub Center really make OPPO's services even better?

Let's see!
