The BIR has just partnered with PayMaya to give taxpayers a more convenient option of paying taxes.
PayMaya, BIR partnership |
Perfect for the upcoming tax season!
Under the new partnership, taxpayers can now pay for their taxes using the PayMaya app. Soon, this feature will also be available through the BIR website. It'll allow taxpayers who are PayMaya users to avoid the long lines and hassle of going to BIR just to pay for taxes.
We are happy to offer PayMaya as a new payment channel where individual Filipino taxpayers can easily remit their taxes, no matter where they are in the country, BIR Commissioner Caesar Dulay said.
We are proud of enabling the BIR with new options for card and wallet payments through PayMaya. As more Filipinos go digital, the BIR is opening up secure, convenient, and reliable options to the tax-paying public. Now, it's easier to pay your taxes using only your mobile phone with the help of PayMaya, said Orlando Vea, Founder and CEO of PayMaya.
To use the service, all you need to do is follow the instructions below:
Here's what you need to do to pay your taxes via PayMaya:
1. Of course, download the app via Huawei AppGallery, Google Play, or Apple App Store.
2. Log in your PayMaya account and click on the "Pay Bills" options.
3. Look for the BIR logo, you may also search for it in the search box.
4. Enter the required details: TIN, branch code, amount, RDO code, Form series, Form Type, Tax Type, and Return period.
5. Enter your email address and where you want to receive the receipt of your payment.
6. Verify the information you needed and press "Pay".
After those steps, you will get a notification in the app, SMS, and email address.
Those who will pay their taxes using PayMaya with a minimum of PHP 1,000 on February 15, 16, 22,23, and 29 will get a one-time PHP 100 cashback if their BIR payment is among the first 3 unique biller payments during the promo.
