The Department of Health has recently raised the country's COVID-19 (Coronavirus disease 2019) alert system to Code Red, Sub-level 1 right after the first case of local transmission was confirmed.

Code Red means all hospital personnel is required to report for duty in their respective facilities to provide medical services. It is a preemptive call to ensure national, local, and private healthcare providers can prepare for a possible increase in suspected and confirmed cases.

In line with this, DoH launched a nCoV (COVID-19) tracker website to keep netizens updated about the number of legitimate confirmed and unconfirmed cases in the Philippines.
As of writing, there are 6 confirmed cases in the Philippines. 3 of them were admitted, 2 recovered, and 1 died.
