UNISOC releases T7520, a mobile SoC with 5G based on 6nm EUV process

Following the T710 back in October 2019, UNISOC announced the T7520. It's a new generation mobile SoC solution with 5G based on the 6nm EUV process.

This is the world's first 6nm EUV mobile chip!

The UNISOC T7520 features 4x ARM Cortex-A76s power cores and 4x Cortex-A55 efficiency cores paired with the ARM Mali-G57 GPU for gaming.

The company claimed that since it uses the new 6nm EUV process, it offers substantially enhanced performance at a lower level of power consumption. 6nm process has an 18 percent improvement in the density of transistors and can reduce power consumption by 7 percent versus the previous 7nm process.

For 5G, it has a 5G modem that supports 5G NR TDD+FDD carrier aggregation, uplink and downlink decoupling and can enhance coverage by more than 100 percent, sub-6GHz band support, NSA/SA dual-mode networking, and 2G through 5G networks. In the SA (stand-aline mode, it has a peak upload speed of more than 3.25 Gbps. It also has dual SIM, dual 5G, and EPS Fall-back and VoNR high-resolution audio and video calls. 

The chip also has its own NPU for more than 50 percent better AI capabilities than its previous-gen solution.

The chip is also compatible with up to 120Hz refresh rate screens, HDR rendering, and multi-screen display up to 4K HDR10+ for high-frame-rate games, 5G UHD videos, and VR/VR applications.

T7520 supports UNISOC's proprietary sixth-generation Vivimagic solution and second-generation FDR (Full Dynamic Range) technology, a dedicated AI accelerator, and upgraded four-core ISP architecture for 100MP sensors or multi-cam tech.
