Voyager Innovations expansion gets new funding

KKR, Tencent, IFC, and IFC Emerging Asia Fund already invested USD 215 million to Voyager in 2018. This will help the latter to continue to provide greater access to PayMaya in the Philippines as government, businesses, and consumers turn to cashless transactions and digital finance more.

The USD 120 million investment Is part of a broader fundraiser for Voyager that is intended to supplement the rapid growth of PayMaya in the Philippines. The company is also in talks with other strategic and financial investors.

The five investors believe that Voyager Innovations' efforts in providing access to digital financial services play a significant role in the Philippines' financial technology industry.

They believe that by investing in Voyager they are only helping get financial inclusion to more Filipino.
