Teased during the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 back in August 2019, Samsung Galaxy Watch, Watch Active, and Watch Active2 users can now take pictures from their Galaxy smartphone remotely using the Samsung camera controller app for select Galaxy smartwatches.
Upon opening the Camera controller app on your smartwatch, it asks you to turn on the Camera app of your Galaxy smartphone. Once activated and connected, your Galaxy Watch works like a viewfinder with a shutter release button.
Camera modes like Instagram mode, Night Mode, Pro Mode and Live focus mode are available and work with the Smartwatch app.

As of April 5, 2020, compatible devices include S20, S20+, S20 ULTRA, S10, S10+, S10e, S10 5G, Note10, Note10+, Note10 5G, Note10+ 5G, Fold and Fold 5G.
