Samsung Galaxy A20 owners from the Philippines have begun receiving the Android 10 based OneUI 2.1 update. Samsung has been improving its after-sales support over the years across its smartphone product line. This includes the entry-level smartphones such as the Galaxy A20 with an original SRP of PHP 9,990.
To recall, the Samsung Galaxy A20 features a 6.4-inch 2.5D 720p HD+ Super AMOLED display. Inside the device is a 1.6GHz 64-bit Exynos 7884 octa-core processor, a Mali-G71 MP2 GPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage that is expandable via microSD. It is powered by a 4,000mAh battery that is charged via USB Type-C with a 15W Adaptive fast charger.
Google requires its Android partners to provide up to two years of software update support. And Samsung has fulfilled its requirements by seeding a major OS update from for the Galaxy A20 from Android 9 to Android 10.
We hope that other manufacturers would also offer updates to their entry-level and mid-tier smartphones.
