According to SamMobile's report, Samsung will discontinue the S Voice service on June 1, 2020.
Bye, S Voice |
Samsung S Voice to be discontinued on June 1
Before Bixby, there was S Voice, Samsung's voice assistant that debuted on the Galaxy S III.
It is an intelligent personal assistant and knowledge navigator that can call contacts, set reminders, launch apps, do Google searches and more.
The report said that if you try to use the S Voice after June 1, 2020, it'll say that "I'm unable to process your request. Try again later".
Models like the Galaxy A3, A5, A7, A8, and A9, the Galaxy Note II, III, 4, 5, FE, S III, S4, S5, and S6, Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, Galaxy W, Galaxy Tab 4, and Galaxy Tab S (1st gen) are still using them.
But of course, it isn't as intelligent as the new Bixby of Samsung. Most of the phones and tablets it supports are aging already as well.
There's no word if Bixby will replace it. But, those in need of an assistant may always use the Google Assistant.
What do you guys think?
