The Realme X3 SuperZoom is an affordable powerhouse with a 120Hz display and periscope lens

Former Oppo sub-brand Realme has garnered praise in recent years for cut-price handsets with flagship specs — such as the X2 Pro that I reviewed earlier this year — and its latest phone doesn’t stray from this formula. The X3 SuperZoom was announced today for the UK market, and it looks pretty much like any other Realme device until you pay closer attention to the camera module on the rear. A helpful yellow square around the top lens indeed indicates that it’s a periscope zoom camera and in turn promises far better telephoto image quality than you might expect from a phone costing just £469 / €499 (around $570).
