Facebook gives US users power to turn off political ads


Facebook today said that it’ll let users mute political ads ahead of the US Presidential elections in November. The announcement came as part of the launch of the social network’s voting information center, which will help more than 4 million US citizens with voter registration. The feature will be available to some users in the US today, and all users in the country over the next few weeks; you can mute ads both on Facebook and Instagram. People in the US will be able to mute any ad from candidates, Super PACs or other organizations that have the “Paid for by”…
