The Manila Electric Company claimed that power rates have decreased by PHP 0.0216 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) for a typical household.

Versus PHP 8.7468 to
P8.7252 per kWh, the reduction is equivalent to PHP 4 in the total bill of residential customers consuming 200 kWh.

The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) announced earlier this month that power rates have decreased by P0.0216 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) for a typical household.

This is the 3rd straight month of generation rate reduction from Meralco and more than one peso per kWh since the start of the year.

Apart from the power rate reduction, Meralco also reported that this month's total rate is lower compared to that of June 2019, which was P10.0918 per kWh and the total rate this month is also the lowest since February 2018.

Also, Meralco has announced an installment program for bills affected by the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) to provide customers relief in managing their electricity bills.

For safety and convenience, Meralco encourages its customers to use the  Meralco Online to do transactions.
