Fully charge a 4000mAh battery in 15 minutes
OPPO has just teased the launch of its 125W Super Flash charge for July 15 and yet rival brand vivo's performance-focused sub-brand iQOO has announced its 120W ultra-fast charge. This new charging technology will allow users to fully charge a 4000mAh battery in just 15 minutes.
iQOO is already offering 33W, 44W and 55W charging on its high-performance smartphones. Today, iQOO has unveiled its 120W ultra-fast that could be arriving on an unannounced device in August of this year.
At the product launch, iQOO Product Manager demonstrated the new 120W rapid charging tech where more details of the technology was revealed. A smartphone with a dual-battery system with two units of 2000mAh 6-cell battery (total of 4000mAh). Both batteries charge at 5V/12A or 60W at the same time with a custom chip that charges both batteries at 120W.
To increase the stability and safety of the new charging technology, the charging adapter is equipped with an array type pole structure cell impedance while the phone will be equipped with super VC liquid cooling technology to keep the temperature of the phone cool when charging.
In addition to this, a mysterious leaker on Weibo reveals that a new 120W super flash charge equipped device will allegedly arrive in August.
