Blackberry has been one of the pioneers in terms of smartphones back in the late 2000s and early 2010s. It may have been a while since the company released a new device but 2021 may be the year it comes out of hibernation.

With a new licensing partnership with OnwardMobility and FIH Mobile Limited, Blackberry will develop and manufacture a new smartphone with 5G. The device will focus on security features that gave Blackberry its fame. In addition, it will still run on Android but with a physical QWERTY keyboard.

There seems to be multiple devices lineup as well. However, we need to put this on the shelf at the moment since a full roster of devices can depend on the success of their first device. Blackberry has been on the wrong side of history since its last few devices as well with a small number of sales and hype.

What do you guys think?
