No need to worry for Huawei devices owners
In a reply to a nova 5T user Tweet yesterday, the Chinese tech giant confirmed that it won't have an impact on existing devices.
Hi there, thank you for your message. There is no impact on existing devices. We will continue to share security and software updates to our devices, as we always have. If you have any questions, please let us know via DM.

This means that existing Huawei and HONOR devices with Google Services will still get an update and there's nothing to worry about.
In a statement to Huawei Central, Huawei said that its customers can keep receiving software updates and services thanks to the strength of the open-source community and the company's own advanced R&D capabilities.
For devices with Google Play installed out of the box, all apps downloaded and other Google apps will continue to receive updates.
Phones without Google Play will get apps and updates on the pre-installed Huawei App Gallery.
Huawei has also added new Huawei and HONOR devices in its monthly and quarterly updates bulletin.
For example, the non-GMS Huawei P40 Pro has already received several major updates.
