Goodbye Internet Explorer 11!

Starting August 17, 2021, Internet Explorer will no longer be supported for Microsoft's online services such as Office 365, OneDrive, Outlook, among others. Microsoft Teams web app will also end support on November 30, 2020.

Microsoft hopes that the new Internet Explorer legacy mode added in the Chromium-based Microsoft Edge browser will help enterprise users transition during the change. This will help businesses continue to access old sites that were specifically designed to be used with Internet Explorer.

In addition, Microsoft is also planning to end support for Microsoft Edge's legacy version on March 9, 2021. Once the support ends, this version will stop receiving security updates. This is part of the company's efforts to move Windows 10 users to the new Chromium-based Edge. It also says that future new devices and Windows feature updates will include this new browser.
