  • Google has reported service disruptions related to Gmail, Google Drive, and more.
  • It seems like users are having trouble with attachments and logging in.

First Spotify experienced a major outage yesterday (August 19), and now it looks like it’s Google’s turn to suffer significant connectivity woes.

The company has confirmed via its G Suite Status Dashboard that Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Meet, and Google Voice are all suffering from service disruptions.

The disruptions seem to be widespread too, as user reports on Downdetector come from the likes of Australia, Hungary, India, Korea, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, and the US.

More specifically, it seems like users are having trouble logging in and uploading and sending attachments, according to Engadget. For what it’s worth, it seems like we can log in just fine, but uploading an attachment takes ages and eventually gives an error message. Check out the screenshot below.

“We are continuing to investigate this issue. We will provide an update by 8/20/20, 10:00 AM [4am ET – ed] detailing when we expect to resolve the problem,” read the latest update on Google’s dashboard.

We’ll update the article as soon as Google discloses more information or the service returns to normal. In the meantime, you can check out our guide to the 10 best email apps on Android.
