Work from home experience
Premium., lightweight, compact |
1. Premium, lightweight and compact design and build - As mentioned earlier, the Huawei MateBook 13 is made of a mix of aluminum alloy and glass.
The choice of aluminum makes the laptop lightweight while adding a premium and solid build quality.
It measures at only 286 x 211 x 14.9 mm and weighs only 1.3 kg which makes it small enough to fit in most compartments and standard sized desks. It is also light enough so you can carry it around in times you want to move to other areas of the home for a nice change of scenery from the usual desk.
2. Vibrant and crisp 13-inch 2K FullView touch screen display - The 13-inch IPS touch display has a resolution of 2160 x 1440 and a 3:2 aspect ratio. It maxes out at 300 nits and has 100 percent coverage of the sRGB color gamut. These display specs mean that the display has plenty of pixels that produce crisp images with accurate color.
The 3:2 aspect ratio with the high 2160 x 1440 resolution allows for more vertical visual real estate which means there more items that can fit in the display vertically which reduces scrolling up and down when using productivity apps like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint or Excel.

3. Performance - Inside is the aforementioned 10th-Gen Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, 8GB/16GB LPDRR3 2133MHz RAM, 512GB PCIe SSD internal storage and 41.7 Wh battery. Equipped with the latest mobile Intel processors with 2133MHz RAM and PCIe SSD allows the MateBook 13 to breeze through non-graphics intensive apps while the large 41.7 Wh battery powers the laptop through the long 9-hour workday.
This work and school laptop is quite fast!
The older Hard Disk Drives or HDD used mechanical parts that limited its read and write speeds and were prone to fail over time while the Solid State Drive stores information directly into the chips with faster read and write speeds.
The webcam is now on top of the display |
4. Video Call ready - The MateBook 13 has a 1MP webcam above the display, Dolby Atmos dual stereo speakers, and two digital microphones that make it ready for video call work meetings or online class. Users also have the option to connect headphones with a microphone via the 3.5mm 2-in-1 headphone and microphone jack or via Bluetooth.
5. Huawei Eye Comfort Mode - Eye strain and fatigue are common after long working and studying hours. Eye Comfort Mode aims to reduce eye strain and fatigue by reducing the blue light produced by the laptop's display. This is in line with its TUV Rheinland certification for safety.
6. Huawei Ecosystem - MateBook 13 runs on Microsoft Windows 10 with Huawei PC Manager, Eye Comfort, Huawei Share, and OneHop Multi-screen collaboration. This means that aside from access to a wide selection of applications that run on Windows, users have access to unique and convenient features that the Huawei ecosystem offers.
Huawei Share is a file-sharing feature that allows users to quickly transfer files or files to and from Huawei devices that support Huawei Share.
Devices compatible with Huawei share include the high-end Huawei P-series and Mate-series smartphones with NFC.
Huawei PC Manager |
7. Huawei PC Manager - It is the company's special software that monitors the hardware and drivers of the MateBook 13 and makes sure that each component is working at optimum performance and that each component has the latest drivers installed.
