HDC 2020: Huawei releases Watch Fit, Watch GT 2 Pro, FreeLace Pro, FreeBuds Pro, MateBook 14 Ryzen 4000, and MateBook X 2020

At the Huawei Developer Conference 2020 (HDC 2020), the tech giant expanded its all-scenario product portfolio. During the event, the company released the Watch Fit, Watch GT 2 Pro, FreeLace Pro, FreeBuds Pro, MateBook 14 Ryzen 4000, and MateBook X 2020.

The Huawei Watch Fit a budget-focused smartwatch rocking a 5 ATM water-resistant body and a 1.64-inch 456 x 280 rectangular AMOLED display.

Huawei highlights that this is the company's first smartwatch to support Quick-workout Animations by combining 44 standard fitness routines (including fat burn, shoulder muscle relief, body sculpting, and other routines) into 12 animations. This feature was designed to provide a quick and easy way for users to workout at a moment's notice.

The Watch also has 13 running classes for jogging enthusiasts and it can analyze running pace scientifically in real-time to help users optimize their workouts. It also comes with 96 workout modes, built-in GPS, PPG heart rate, and barometer.

Huawei claimed that its battery can last up to 10 days in a typical scenario. It also has a fast-charging solution that can give the watch a whole day battery life in 5 minutes of charge.

Building upon the success of Watch GT 2, Huawei also announced the Watch GT 2 Pro. It boasts an elegant modern design with up to 2 weeks of battery life and more than 100 workout modes as well as "pro-grade" fitness tracking features.

The watch uses a 
sapphire crystal AMOLED circular display, titanium case, and a skin-friendly ceramic case black that combines with another sapphire glass to enhance monitoring accuracy and wearing comfort.

Huawei said that it goes with the upgraded Huawei TrueSeen 4.0+ tech to provide more accurate heart rate readings and new workout modes including Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Snowboarding, and Golf Driving Range.

Huawei FreeLace Pro is a neckband design Bluetooth earphones. Now. it has noise cancellation up to 40dB. Huawei said that the earphones take advantage of the company's algorithms to provide stable noise-canceling performance in any situation.

The FreeLace Pro uses a pair of 14mm aluminum-magnesium alloy dynamic drivers with bass tunes to deliver HiFi audio, Huawei HiPair for seamless pairing charging, whole-day battery life, and a fast-charging solution that provides 5 hours of music playback in 5 minutes of charge.

Coming from the FreeBuds 3, the FreeBuds Pro now sports an even more stylish look. It now uses an in-ear earphone design as well.

Huawei said that it is the world's first truly wireless stereo earphones supporting the intelligent dynamic noise cancellation. The Chinese tech giant claimed that it uses a hardware and software integrated solution which allows the TWS earphones intelligently to identify the type of ambient noise based on the user's immediate surroundings making it switch between General, Cosy, and Ultimate profiles.

Huawei said that it has an "industry-leading" 40dB noise cancellation. That's 25dB better than the 15dB noise cancellation of the FreeBuds 3 with 15dB only.

Also, it supports Dual Connection with Android, iOS, and Windows to allow users to seamlessly switch between devices, new swipe/pinch gesture control on the earphone stem.

The MateBook 14 Ryzen 4000 features a 14-inch 2K Huawei FullView Display, Ryzen 4000 H Series processors, Huawei Shark Fin Fans for better thermals, and smart features such as Multi-screen Collaboration to help consumers stay productive even while on the go.

In comes in 3 different versions. The top model comes with a touch screen display, Ryzen 7 chip, 16GB RAM, and 512GB storage. It also has a power button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner and both come with a USB-C 65W Huawei fast charger.

The 2020 edition of the MateBook X sports a 13-inch LTPS LCD touchscreen display with 3K 3000 x 2000 resolution, 3:2 aspect ratio, 90 percent screen-to-body ratio, 100 percent sRGB color accuracy, 1500:1 contrast ratio, 400 nits peak brightness, 178-degree viewing angle, and 10-points of touch.

As expected, it is powered by up to 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10510U processor, up to 16GB of 2133MHz LPDDR3 RAM, and 512GB NVMe SSD. It also sports a 42WHr battery with USB-C 65W fast charging as well.

The new MateBook X also highlights a pressure-sensitive Free Touch trackpad that is capable of detecting different levels of pressure with vibration feedback.

The laptop also goes with quad-speakers, dual microphones, pop-up webcam, backlit keyboard, a fingerprint sensor, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, 2 x USB-C ports, 3.5mm audio port.

Of course, it has Huawei's Multi-screen Collaboration and Huawei Share for enhanced productivity.
