Mate 40 is coming soon!

Details about the upcoming handset are still scarce though. WinFuture.de reported that they learned from company sources that Huawei is aiming to use the "world's first 5G-capable 5nm SoC" on the Huawei Mate 40 Pro. To recall, Apple was the first to launch a 5nm SoC yesterday. However, it has no built-in 5G.

The handset is also expected to feature an "extremely powerful" camera configuration, increase battery charging speed even further with higher wattage, and introduce a new way of interacting with the device.
Alleged render of the Mate 40 Pro

Early "leaked" renders show that the phone will feature a circular quad-camera setup at the back with a periscope superzoom lens and a curved display with a small pill-shaped punch-hole for the selfie camera and other sensors.

It rumored that Huawei will announce the phone in a Livestream event in mid-October 2020.

The Mate 40 series is expected to come in 3 different variants—the Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, and Mate 40 Pro+.
