If you're having trouble loading Gmail or a YouTube video tonight, you aren't alone. A whole ton of Google services have just gone down — and hard. Google Drive, Hangouts, the Play Store, and even Nest are all affected.
Some services, like the Play Store and Google Calendar, refuse to load at all. Others, like Gmail, may load after a very long wait, though it can take a while for your list of messages to be populated, and you may have difficulty sending or receiving emails.
