Instead of the Snapdragon 765G, the new LG Velvet is equipped with the newest member of the MediaTek Dimensity 1000 5G family—1000C.

MediaTek said that the chip is powered by 4x ARM Cortex-A77 cores and 4x Cortex-A55 cores up to 2.0GHz. It is paired with 5x ARM Mali-G57 GPU for better gaming and MediaTek's APU 3.0 for AI processing. But, it is a downgrade coming from the Mali-G77 MC9 from its Dimensity 1000 and 1000+ siblings.

The chip also supports LPDDR4X memory up to 12GB, UFS 2.2 storage, AV1 code for Netflix as well as YouTube HDR streams. Of course, it has 5G and T-Mobile said that it supports the 600MHz and 2.5GHz Sub-6GHz 5G networks.

The LG Velvet for T-Mobile sports a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with dual-display support, 8GB RAM, 128G storage, 48MP triple-cam, and 16MP selfie cam.

The other difference is in the battery capacity, the Velvet in the US only sports a 4,000mAh battery instead of 4,300mAh.

The phone will available in Aurora Gray and Pink White colorways from September 10. It is priced at USD 588 (around PHP 28.5K) or USD 24.50 for 24 months installment.
