Alongside the Mate 40 series, Huawei also announced the new FreeBuds Studio with 40mm drivers, Kirin A1 Audio chip and Active Noise Cancellation.
Huawei challenges Sony, Bose and Sennheiser
Aside from the new Mate 40 series, Huawei also announced several accessories like the new Gentle Monster Eyewear II, Huawei Mate 40 Ring Light Case and Porsche Design Watch GT 2 and the new Freebuds Studio.
It is Huawei's new over-ear Bluetooth headphones that feature 40mm dynamic drivers, 4-layer diaphragm, and the Kirin A1 audio chip.
It comes with Active Noise Cancellation using a dual hybrid noise-cancelling microphones which Huawei claims reduce ambient noise of up to 40 decibels. Huawei has added over 6 microphones on the FreeBuds Studio for better voice calls and the headphones support multi-point connectivity for seamless switching between two paired devices.
Powering the device are two 410mAh batteries that offer up to 24 hours of continuous music playback without Active Noise Cancellation and up to 20 hours with ANC. Huawei also claims that 10 minutes of charge with the USB Type-C port can keep the FreeBuds Studio running for up to 5 hours of playback with ANC and will take 70 minutes to charge at full capacity.
