Through the brand's official WeChat account, vivo recently teased a whole new skin based on Android to replace the current Funtouch OS. It is called the Origin OS.

A whole new skin?
Not much has been shared about the new Android overlay, but it is dubbed to be a complete makeover of Funtouch OS.

| Will be based on Android 11? |
Similar to Funtouch OS 11, we expect it to be on top of the new Android 11 OS. Likely, vivo will refine and further improve what its customers like on the previous Funtouch iterations.
To recall, the jump from Funtouch 10 to Funtouch 11 in terms of features and look is quite big. For sure, vivo is planning to further leap what they did with Funtouch 11 on the upcoming Origin OS.
The launch of the new skin is expected to take place on November 19. The said date is also the day the company will hold its developer conference.
As per leaks, Origin OS is expected to debut with the vivo X60 series before the end of this year.
Could this be the vivo Android overlay to properly compete with the likes of Oxygen OS and ColorOS?
