Inspiring artists to make their own visual stories
In order to express creativity, Che Tagyamon, Glenn Barit, and Sonny Calvento captured videos to create films that reflect life under lockdown.
According to Xiaomi, Che Tagyamon and Glenn Barit used the Mi 10T Pro to come up with "Maski Papano". Its story revolves around a discarded face mask that journeyed through the city and found companionship in another mask. They said that the device gave an impressive performance. Tagyamon added,
We love how easy it is to shoot and edit the film with a phone camera that made powerful features portable. It was easier and safer for us to go around the city and shoot on location without having to use heavier equipment, and we even only had to charge it once during the shoot.
Meanwhile, Sonny Calvento used the Mi 10T Pro to create his masterpiece "Sunshine, Sunshine". With the passion projects of these filmmakers, Xiaomi PH announced that the Mi Pass10n Project is open for those who aspire to enter the indie filmmaking industry.
The tech giant is inviting them to create a 5-minute short film in 10 days that will unleash their potential and at the same time highlight the phone's camera capabilities. Chosen entries from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will be provided a Mi 10T Pro and a grant of PHP 40,000 to produce the film.
