Jailbreak latest iOS versions using palen1x/palera1n (Bootable USB)

You may have seen the previous tutorial on how to Jailbreak your iOS Device using palera1n via a bootable Ubuntu USB, which worked very well, however, it was quite lengthy and required you to use a full operating system which may be cumbersome. Thankfully, the palera1n team has now released palen1x which is a simple palera1n bootable USB which greatly simplifies the whole Jailbreaking process. Let's begin! Requirements - We will be doing this on a Windows PC, however, we need a minimum 64MB USB drive for palen1x. We will not be installing Ubuntu or overwriting anything, we will simply be running it from the USB drive. - Lightning to USB-A cable as it seems that USB-C cables fail to boot into DFU mode at this time. USB-C to USB-A adapters seem to help. - A device that palera1n supports. Using Apple A11 chip or lower. You can easily go out and get an iPhone 8/X or iPad Pro 2017 (120Hz display) for this. Even if it's on latest iOS, it'll still be Jailbreakable with palera1n! Please get a 64GB device at least as palera1n needs 10GB to do the work. Additionally, the device should have working buttons as you will need them to boot into DFU mode! - Passcode/Fingerprint on your device has to be disabled. On iOS 16 A10+, if you EVER enabled a passcode on iOS 16, you have to reset through the settings app/restore with a computer before proceeding with the Jailbreak. - There seems to be reports of AMD CPUs are not working well with this Jailbreak. If that affects you, then Intel is recommended. Instructions 1. First of all, we need to create a bootable palen1x USB so go ahead & plug in your USB to your computer, then head over to palen1x GitHub & download the latest version. Once you've downloaded the palen1x.ISO file, we will need to use something like Ventoy to make your USB bootable and then you can simply copy & paste the palen1x ISO to your USB so you can then run it from there. TIP Ventoy allows you to easily have & boot multiple ISO files in one USB. This means you can have Windows11.iso, Ubuntu.iso, checkn1x.iso, palen1x.iso in one USB! 2. Once you've successfully made a bootable palen1x USB, we now need to boot into said USB. The easiest way to do this is by opening the Start Menu > Click on Power > Hold SHIFT on your keyboard & click on Restart. In doing so, Windows will give you certain options before restarting. We need to then select "Use a device" and from there, select the USB you have your Ubuntu on and click restart. If you used Ventoy, it's usually Partition 2. 3. If all the above steps were done correctly, your PC will restart and the Ventoy boot options will appear. Select palen1x from the boot options and select the option to boot into Grub2 mode when asked. 4. Once palen1x has loaded, select palera1n (press ENTER) > Options and select the Create FakeFS option. Make sure the requirements mentioned above are met for this. For other device & storage types, check out the https://ift.tt/JzrDxLm. NOTE Create FakeFS option is only used on the initial jailbreak (when the device has never been jailbroken before or if you update your iOS version while being jailbroken). Once FakeFS is created, you no longer need to select this option to enable your jailbreak after rebooting your device. 5. Press ENTER to save the option you just selected and then select Start so we can start phase 1 of the initial jailbreaking process! Go ahead and follow the on screen instructions. TIP This is when you connect your device if you haven't already. If you receive a lockdownd message, make sure you trust the computer on your iPhone and re-connect your device to begin. 6. Once phase 1 is complete, press ENTER to exit and then select palera1n > Start so we can begin phase 2 of the jailbreaking process. Phase 2 initial jailbreak may take up to 10 minutes and once done, your device will boot to your home screen. 7. On your home screen you will see the palera1n app. Go ahead and open it then tap on Install which will proceed to install Sileo, Substitute & everything else required for the jailbreak to function. And you're done! You can now open Sileo to download & install your favorite tweaks like iGameGod. Notes - palera1n is a semi-tethered jailbreak so you need to perform step 6 only (phase 2) if your device shuts down or reboots. - Please check on the official palera1n GitHub repo for updates and new information that may arise after writing this tutorial. - If you experience App Store downloading & installing issues after Jailbreak, see the App Store palera1n fix tutorial on how to resolve it. - We recommend you view the palera1n common issues & solutions! - If you want to use macOS to perform this, follow this guide.
