Two years after the company announced the current 28nm Wear 3100 that powers wearables since September 2018, Qualcomm has officially unveiled the new Snapdragon Wear 4100 series chipsets.
The new Wear 4100 is based on the smaller, faster and more efficient 12nm processor with LPDDR4 Memory. It features a 1.7GHz quad-core A53 processor with the Adreno 504GPU and it supports up to 16MP cameras and low power 4G LTE.
While the Wear 4100+ features an updated QCC1110 co-processor that serves to take the load of the main CPU for sleep and heart rate tracking.
Added features include over 64,000 colors, battery indicators, alarms, reminders and haptic feedback.
Lastly, the new wear 4100 series platform supports Android Open Source Platform and will ship in devices soon.
