Mobile chipmaker MediaTek has just launched the Helio P95, a mid-range chipset equipped with improved performance, AI capabilities, connectivity options versus its Helio P90 predecessor.

The chipset is packed with 2x Cortex-A75 power cores clocked at 2.2GHz and 6x Cortex-A55 efficiency cores clocked at 2.0GHz. It is paired with the PowerVR GM 94445 GPU, APAU 2.0 with 10 percent improvement over the previous generation, and 2520 x 1080 resolution screen support.Helio P95 features |
For gaming, it has MediaTek's HyperEngine feature. It can improve GPU rendering-to-display pipeline latency by up to 60 percent, power efficiency while gaming, CPU/GPU/memory enhancement, and streamline cell tower connections.
For cameras, it can run 1x 64MP camera or 24MP + 16MP dual-camera setup. It also has a triple image signal processor (ISP) designed to handle up to 14-bit RAW. It also has AI camera enhancements, "AI-NR" low light photography, 5-person human pose tracking, multiple objects, and scene identification, and AI depth engine.
Connectivity-wise, the chip has no 5G and WiFi 6 yet. Instead, it comes with the older WiFi 5, 4 x 4 MIMO, 4G LTE Cat 12/Cat 13 download and upload speeds, ViLTE, VoLTE, Band 71 support, dual 4G SIM.
There's no word yet which phone will have the P5 first. We expect it in upcoming phones mid or late this year.
