New safety verifications for Samsung QLED TVs
The first verifications come from the Underwriters Laboratories which is a leading safety science company in the USA. The eye safety certification, on the other hand, comes from Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker from Germany.
Samsung becomes the first in the TV industry to receive verifications proving that various types of lights emitted by its QLED TVs pose no photobiological LED hazard based on under the International Electrotechnical Commission's standards for photobiological and eye safety.
Both safety certification institutions tested the 65Q900T 8K model and 65Q90T 4K models. The models emit the brightest light among Samsung's 2020 QLED TV lineup in terms of blue-light, ultraviolet, and infrared rays.
