No notch, no pop-up cameras, no punch-holes
It's a true, full-screen experience with no pop-up as well |
With the ZTE Axon 20 5G, you can expect that there is no notch, no pop-up cameras, and no punch-holes present. Achieving this was no easy feat for ZTE. The company had to come up with a new screen assembly process to overcome the problems presented by the under-display camera design. These problems include light reaching the camera sensor resulting in bad images and a noticeable brightness and color difference in the screen where the camera is installed.
The first problem was solved by using a special film coating on the screen layers which is highly transmissive and transparent. The 32MP selfie sensor installed also comes with a built-in light perception sensor which regulates the amount of light needed for different usages. ZTE also adjusted the pixel arrangement around the camera lens so it matches the rest of the display without the prior color difference problem. A new image processing algorithm also optimizes the image clarity.
For specs, the Axon 20 5G has a 6.92-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It also comes with 10-bit color output and a 20.5:9 aspect ratio. It also has an In-Display fingerprint sensor.
Inside, it has a Snapdragon 765G octa-core processor, up to 8GB RAM, up to 256GB storage, and a 4,220mAh battery with 30W fast charging. For cameras, it has a quad-camera setup with 64MP + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP depth + 2MP macro with LED flash.
It runs Android 10 with Mifavor 10.5 on top.
