  • The Redmi K30S Ultra has launched in China.
  • It’s a rebranded version of the Mi 10T which launched in Europe earlier this month.
  • The K30S Ultra is significantly cheaper than the Mi 10T’s European price though.

Xiaomi launched the Mi 10T series earlier this month, featuring powerful processors, high refresh rate screens, and big batteries. The phones launched in Europe and India, and now it looks like at least one phone is coming to its home market of China.

Yes, the company has brought the standard Mi 10T to China, but it’s undergone a name change and is now known as the Redmi K30S Ultra. It’s still the same phone despite the name change though, packing a 6.67-inch 144Hz FHD+ LCD screen, Snapdragon 865 processor, and 5,000mAh battery.

The Redmi K30S Ultra also shares the same camera setup, namely a 64MP main shooter, 13MP ultra-wide lens (123 degree field of view), and a 5MP macro sensor. A 20MP camera in the punch-hole cutout is on selfie duty.

Other standout features include Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, 8K recording support, 33W wired charging, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IR blaster, and MIUI 12 atop Android 10.

The Redmi K30S Ultra starts at 2,599 yuan (~$388) for the 8GB/128GB model, while the 8GB/256GB option retails for 2,799 yuan (~$418). Either way, that’s significantly cheaper than the Mi 10T’s European pricing, with a 6GB/128GB option retailing for €499 (~$590).
